I'm extremely picky with Chinese food & don't eat it often because of that. However, my teenage son loves it. We were out together & I wanted to treat him as he doesn't get a chance to eat Chinese food often. Saw an IG post of this place & decided to try. It did not disappoint. The service was great & the food was very good. Shout out to our waiter Henry who seemed to know everyone & was extremely pleasant. The food was also served fresh & hot. Fried noodles are already on the table & the meals come with soup & your choice of rice. The portions were a good size & very filling. We traveled 30 mins to dine here & will definitely be back.
Surprising we hadn’t tried this place all these years living here as it was a lovely lunch we recently had. Famous Freddy served us and treated us like long lost friends even though it was our first time. Table service is nice with tablecloths and a nice decor. Our special requests were accommodated and Freddy regaled us with lively conversation. We enjoyed the cold sesame noodles, the sauce a little on the loose side for my taste but it was fine otherwise. Vegetable Lo Mein was as expected and the General Tso’s tofu was also very good. I prefer a different style for the sauce(darker/spicier) and tofu(firm ripped pieces vs soft cubes) but I’ve had this style before as well and it’s fine. Addl hot sauce was provided and overall we enjoyed the meal.
I haven’t found a Chinese sit down restaurant in the area since Szechuan Star closed years ago. We came on a Wednesday night and were surprised to see how many people were dining in. The owner, Freddy, is very chatty and told us on weekends, they have a line for tables. His service is amazing, he connects with all his patrons, and is super generous. He brought us hot and sour soup, additional dumplings, and gave us a taste of his chicken and eggplant dish. We ordered the standard Chinese take out items—general Tsos chicken, vegetable lo mein and string beans stir fried with garlic. Everything came out quickly. The general tsos chicken could have been more crispy, but I appreciated that they weren’t just half breading. The vegetable lo mein was good, but the string beans were covered with pork. The menu doesn’t state anything about pork, and I don’t eat red meat. I didn’t want to make it inconvenient, especially after Freddy had been so friendly and generous, so I just scraped off the pork. The hot and sour soup also had bits of pork in it, though it is normally vegetarian. Wonderful service and food, just wished the menu was more clear.
We showed up with a large party .during lunch they were able to seat us quickly.had everything set. 11 adults and a toddler. Within 20 minutes everyone's order was served piping hot and delicious. The soup was very savory and everything was fresh. The staff were friendly and made us feel like family. So if you're looking for a fantastic place to sit-down and enjoy your favorite dish ..this is the one.
I came with my grandparents for dinner. They had both been to King’s before, but it was my first time. My grandma got the spare ribs combo and my grandpa got the fried rice combo. I ordered vegetable ho chow fun and added tofu to it. Everyone enjoyed their food. I particular loved texture of the broad rice noodles and was impressed with the tofu too. The portion sizes were generous and everyone went home with leftovers. I also really appreciated the atmosphere of the restaurant. Every table has a teapot on it when you sit, and the crunchy noodles are out out in a bowl worth duck sauce to dip. The service was fantastic, with all the staff we spoke with being super friendly and helpful.
Our first time visiting and the food and service was amazing! We traveled from NY to try this highly recommended spot that we seen on Facebook! Uncle Freddie from Queens, NY, gave us an amazing service. He even made us a recommended Shrimp Dish that was delicious! Highly highly recommend everyone to try this authentic Chinese restaurant! Uncle Freddie, we will be returning soon
We used to come here all the time when I was small and after coming back as an adult, it was great to see that the high quality food hasn't changed. The owner is always so nice to us and our food comes out in a timely manner. Their egg rolls, hot and sour soup, and salt and pepper porkchops were very good. Such a great Chinese place!
